James Ralph “Deer Hunter” Snow, Sr., a resident of Citronelle, Alabama, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021. He was 77 years old. Ralph enjoyed sitting on his porch, hunting, and gardening. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Ralph was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Frozine Snow; granddaughter, Hollis Rose Snow; and siblings, AJ Snow, Ray Snow, Emmitt Snow, Gertrude Snow Murphy, Printella Snow Bedwell, Eula Grace Snow, and Virginia Snow Reed. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Hollis Snow; children, Lylia (Tommy) Rivers, Evette (Kirk) Lofton, Karen (Darrell) Allen, James Ralph Snow, Jr., and Emmitt (Jennifer) Snow; twenty-four grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; special niece, Beverly (Bob) Bute; and many other relatives and friends. A wake will be held for Ralph from 6pm until 9pm Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2pm Friday, January 29, 2021, at Rivers Baptist Church with Rev. Samuel Rivers and Rev. Wilbert Reed officiating and a special speaker, Jonathan Kihyet, Sr. Burial will follow in Reed’s Chapel Cemetery. Online condolences may be given at www.freemancitronelle.com.
