I served in the Army.
William Cornelson, a resident of Mobile, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022, peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. William was born March 03, 1930, in Citronelle, Alabama, to the late Jess and Elizabeth Cornelson. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Later, became a general contractor and continued construction work for many years until his retirement. In his spare time, William enjoyed hunting and fishing.

William was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Cornelson; and sons, William Larry Cornelson and Richard Lee Cornelson.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Daphne Brown (Thomas), Patricia Medders (Jerry), Janice McMillan (Jeffrey), and Gregory Cornelson (Elizabeth); twelve grandchildren; ten greatgrandchildren; siblings, Charles Henry Cornelson and Jessie Leon Cornelson; and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 9am until the 10am funeral service Friday, January 14, 2022, at Freeman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jeremy Medders, Justin Brown, Ian McMillan, Taylor Medders, Brandon Moss, Russell Burger, Zachary McMillan, and Bryson Moss.
