Albert Monroe Zehner, 83, a resident of Citronelle, Alabama passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015, at his daughters residence. He served in the United States Army and was a Korean Conflict veteran and served in the United States Air Force and retired Army National Guard. Mr. Zehner worked and retired fro Greer's as the butcher. He enjoyed fishing and cooking and was a member of Citronelle Lodge #637. He was preceded in death by his sons Albert "Jim" Zehner and William "Johnny" Zehner, brothers, Bill Zehner and Lewis Zehner. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 57 years Elizabeth Zehner; daughter, Ellen (Frank) Lindsey; sons, Michael "Mugsey" Zehner and Anthony (Menita) Zehner; brothers, Charles Zehner, Clifford Zehner, Freddie Zehner, and Harry Zehner; sister, Lydia McGill; grandchildren, Holly Zehner and Dena Zehner; great grandchildren, Ashlyn, Tony, Austin, Anna Grace, and Tyler; special aunt, Mamie Boothe; other relatives and friends. Graveside service will be held 3pm Friday, January 23, 2015 at Lott Cemetery in Citronelle, Alabama. Online condolences may be given at www.freemancitronelle.com.
