Alice R. Sullivan

Alice Sullivan, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on March 1, 2025, at the Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. Born on August 31, 1955, Alice dedicated her life to caring for others, spending 20 years providing compassionate support to the elderly. Her kind-hearted, loving, funny, and outgoing personality endeared her to everyone she met.

Alice took immense pride in her family, and her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were truly the center of her universe. Their laughter and joy meant the world to her, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Alice's legacy will live on in the memories created and the love shared among them.

She is survived by her sons, Will Sullivan (Tabitha) of Saraland, Alabama, Jason Sullivan (Vickie) of McIntosh, Alabama, Jabbo Sullivan, Sr. of McIntosh, Alabama, Joshua Sullivan (Crystal) of Citronelle, Alabama, Mitchell Sullivan (Terri) of Citronelle, Alabama; daughter, Melissa Sullivan (Joseph) of Citronelle, Alabama; her brothers, Ledward Sullivan of Citronelle, Alabama, and James Sullivan (Lucy) of McIntosh, Alabama; as well as 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Alice also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

In her spare time, Alice found joy in simple pleasures such as sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee, making Native American straw baskets, and singing. These hobbies brought light to her life, just as she brought light to those around her.

Alice is preceded in death by her husband, Hank W. Sullivan; her parents, Jefferson and Evie Sullivan; and her siblings, Ann Bryd, Tolie Weaver, and Lester Sullivan, Sr. Her remarkable spirit and unwavering love will continue to resonate deeply within the hearts of her family and friends.

Wake will be held at Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle, Alabama, on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will take place at Home Gospel Church in McIntosh, Alabama, on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 3:00 PM, with Bro. Joey Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Assembly of God Cemetery.

Alice Sullivan will be lovingly remembered for her gentle spirit and the countless lives she touched throughout her journey.
