Arvin “Dickie” Dickinson, III, affectionately known as Trey, a resident of Citronelle, Alabama, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017. He was 45 years old. Trey was known as one of a kind. He greatly enjoyed being a DJ and loved to sing karaoke. Above all that, Trey lived for Alabama football. His kids were his pride and joy and also his biggest agitation. No matter how many times he and his kids disagreed, Trey always found a way to make sure his kids knew how much he loved them. He showed affection to his kids the same way his mama showed affection to him. Trey was definitely a mama’s boy. His immediate family was the best part of his life, though never would admit it except to his nephews, Eric and Jared Sawyer. His family loved him dearly and will miss him greatly. Trey was preceded in death by his dad, Arvin Dickinson, Jr. Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Dallas, Dakota, and Denver Dickinson; mother, Myrtis Dickinson; sister, Rebecca Dickinson Bradford; nephews, Eric (Bobi Jo) and Jared Sawyer; great nephews and great niece, Shane, Tyler, and Gauge Sullivan, Bryson, Brenton, and Lakyn Sawyer; his friends at Kali’s; and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 11am until 1pm Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at Freeman Funeral Home. A committal service will immediately follow the visitation at Deer Park Cemetery.
