Ashton Blake Challender

Ashton Blake Challender, born on July 7, 2004, left this world on his birthday, July 7, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and a friend to many. Ashton was known for his outgoing personality, sense of humor and his heart of gold. His departure has left a void in the lives of all who knew him.

Ashton had a passion for life that was infectious. He found joy in simple pleasures like riding four-wheelers, hanging out with friends, playing video games, and delicious food. Among his proudest accomplishments was the time he spent with his family, especially his son A.B., whom he loved more than anything.

Ashton will be dearly missed by his wife, Elizabeth Challender; son, Ashton Blake Challender Jr.; mothers, Jennifer Challender and Chasity Johnson; father, Barry Lofton; grandmothers, Mary Lou Challender and Neta Byrd; sisters, Whitney Rivers, Shayna Lofton (David), Mia Mairena (Jacques), Breanna Reed, and Myah Salinas; mother-in-law, Brittney Weaver; father-in-law, Brett McDonald (Kristy); uncles, Mickey (Jennifer), Kyle (Jessica), Larry, Greg (Tonya), Eric (Tonya), Reese (Wendy), and Shane; aunts, Margie (Eric), Rebecca (Jeremy), Starla (Alvin); a multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins; youth pastors, Eric and Phyllis Hopkins; as well as many other relatives and friends.

He is now reunited in heaven with his grandmother, Mary Ann Lummus; grandparents, Farron and Rellia Mae Lofton; and aunt, Penelope Reed-Chavez.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the 2:00 PM funeral service on July 11, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Reed's Chapel Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Waite and Bro. CJ Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Reed's Chapel Cemetery.

Ashton Blake Challender will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
