Aubrey Leon Chancery, 72, was one of four children born to the late Marvin and Jimmie Chancery on Thursday, November 29, 1945. Aubrey passed away peacefully Thursday, June 21, 2018 at his home in Citronelle, after a courageous battle with heart disease, bone cancer and other health issues. Aubrey was born in Yarbo, raised in Chatom, and graduated from Washington County High School. He worked for Alabama Drydock & Shipbuilding Company years ago and was the owner of Chancery Saw Company. Aubrey loved singing and playing the guitar. He was a founding member of the Dixie Outlaw Lawnmower Racing Organization. He was also known for his gardening and making homemade cane syrup. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Nita Chancery; his children, Harold Mason, Connie Chancery McDonald, Abby Mason, and Christine Chancery Cumbie (Steve); grandchildren, Courtney Mason Hilley (Christian) and Lillie Cumbie; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 10:30am until the 12pm funeral service at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Stan Clayton, Rev. Elbert Mosley and Rev.
