Audrey Carolyn Newburn

Audrey Carolyn Newburn, 76, a native of Vinegar Bend, Alabama and resident of Citronelle, Alabama passed away peacefully on Saturday July, 18, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cake decorating, painting and planting flowers. Audrey was an active participant of the Citronelle Senior Center and the Relay for Life. She enjoyed fellowship and visiting with her friends. Audrey loved to travel and enjoyed eating catfish and shrimp at local restaurants. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Harold Newburn; parents, Webb and Irma Beech Davidson; sisters, Betty Savage and Margie Booth; and brother, Leon Davidson. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Tim Newburn (Annette), Lorrie Tulo, Cindy Davis, Tina Haskew (Eric), Mike Newburn (Paulette) and Debbie Hosford; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Merline Loper and Irma Jarman; other relatives and friends. The Wake will be from 6-9pm Monday, July 20, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 11am Tuesday from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Dees officiating. Burial will be in Four Points Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, John Welford III, Ryan Newburn, Ben Newburn, Blake Tulo, Hunter Davis, Noah Haskew, Daniel Haskew and Logan Newburn.
