Avery Keith Lofton

Avery Keith Lofton, a resident of Mount Vernon, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. He was 7 months old. Avery was the son of Adrian and Chelsea Lofton. Let the little children come unto me, for theirs is the kingdom of God. Avery was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Those left to cherish his sweet memory include his parents; Adrian and Chelsea Lofton; grandparents, Shirley and Adrian Lofton, Lynne Weaver, and Johnny McDonald; great grandparents, Denny and Elizabeth Weaver, and Earl and Dolly McDonald; great great grandmother, Thelma DeLorme; aunts, Shelby Weaver, Lora Lofton, Regina Lofton, Helen Spradley, Gina Weaver, and Tiffany Weaver; uncles, Denny Weaver, Jr. Jimmy Joel Byrd, and Waylon Reed; special godmothers, Mary Alice Byrd, Viola Snow, Rachel Frazier, Jackie Faye Byrd, and Paulette Reed; special godfather, Steve Lofton; and other relatives and friends. A special thanks to the staff, doctors, and nurses at Children’s of Alabama for their love and kindness. The family will receive friends from 10am until 11am funeral service Saturday, February 24, 2018, at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Rev. John Coghlan officiating. Rosary will be recited at 9:45am.
