Mrs. Barbara J. Mowdy, 76, a native of Osage County, Oklahoma and resident of Citronelle, Alabama passed away March 14, 2013 at her residence. She was a retired human resource administrator and member of Cross Point Baptist Church. Mrs. Mowdy was an excellent artist of oil painting, loved the outdoors while she gardened and listened to the birds. She was very proud of and displayed her family photos for everyone to see. Left to cherish her memory is husband, Don E. Mowdy of Citronelle, AL.; sons, Drew Edward (Melinda) Mowdy of Guntersville, AL. and Fredrick Hill (Lonetta) Mowdy of Citronelle, AL.; daughter, Jill Elizabeth Mowdy of Albertville, AL.; two brothers, Dale Klinger of Ponca City, OK and James (Susie) Klinger of Yukon, OK; sister, Marjorie (Dean) Peterson of Kimberling City, MO.; six grandchildren, Samantha, Claudia, Hannah, Rebekah, Dylan and Buddy; and other relatives and friends. The Wake will be 6-9 pm Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Cross Point Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will be 10 am Monday, March 18, 2013 at the church with Rev. Eddie Bates officiating. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials may be made to the American Red Cross or the American Cancer Society in honor of Mrs. Mowdy.
