Barbara Jean Byrd

Barbara Jean Byrd, 65, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019 at her home in McIntosh, Alabama. She was born June 6, 1953 to Marvin and Abbie Rivers. She worked in the home health field. Barbara enjoyed watching stories and cooking shows. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Prentiss Byrd, parents, siblings, Alice Weaver, Mildred Johnston, Wayne Rivers, Lamar Rivers, Lavert Rivers and Larry Dean Rivers. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons Wendell Byrd (Marilyn), Victor Byrd (Tiffany), and Dexter Byrd; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Julianne, Timmerlyn, Lorrie, Ava and Victoria; siblings, Nettie Taylor, Marvin Rivers, Jr., (Elnora), Charles Rivers (Carolyn) and Mart Rivers; other relatives and friends. A wake will be held 6pm-9pm, Tuesday February 12, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 11am, Wednesday February 13, 2019 at Reed’s Chapel Baptist Church with Rev.
