Barbara Taylor Sullivan, a resident of Mt. Vernon, Alabama, passed away Monday, October 26, 2020. She was 79 years old. Barbara was born July 13, 1941. She enjoyed tending to her garden and her flowers, going to church, and spending time with her family. Barbara was loved by all who knew her and was a queen to her family. She will be greatly missed in the community. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Sullivan; son, Bobby Dove; parents, Herbert and Mary Taylor; and six siblings: Rufus, Terry, Nona, Brenda, Mildred, and Morris. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Mary (Ronnie) Johnston, Patricia (Kenneth) Lamar, and Dora (Bryan) Taylor; grandchildren, Teddy (Raven) Walker, Courtney Byrd, Jimmy Walker, Jr., O’Bryan (Tracy) Taylor, Kaleb Taylor, Kamry Taylor, and Pacey Taylor; great grandchildren, Jayceton, Precious, Stilyne, Diznee, Teddy, Jr., Maleek, Mackenzie, Blake, Kendyn, and Phillippian; siblings, James (Susan) Taylor, Steve (Phyllis) Taylor, and Mable Howard; special friends, Juanita Weaver, Pat Wells, Lida Harrison, Maggie Brown, and Cherry Smith; and other relatives and friends. Due to the unfortunate circumstances surrounding Hurricane Zeta, the lack of power in our community, and the Coronavirus pandemic, the family is having a private graveside service. Extended family and friends are invited to Sims Chapel Holiness Church in Fairford at 3:30pm Wednesday, November 04, 2020, for fellowship and remembrance of Barbara.
