Bernice Marcell Boothe

Bernice M. Boothe, 84, a native of Citronelle, Alabama and resident of Elberta, Alabama passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 03, 2019 at home. She dedicated her life to her family, both children and grandchildren. She lived a good long and fruitful life. In our minds, a saint went home. The memories will be forever in our hearts. She was loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thompson Leavertte Boothe; son, Robert Levert Boothe; daughters, Donna K. Johnson and Linda Grace Roberts; and daughter in law, Freida Bernice Boothe. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, John Wayne Boothe (Patricia), Gordon Ray Boothe, Quincy Quitman Boothe (Donna) and Christopher Thomas Boothe; daughter, Glenda Ula Rada; daughter in law, Barbara Allen Boothe; a multitude of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; sisters, Patsy Hinote (A.J.) and Marlene Legrone (Michael); other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 1pm until the 2pm Memorial Service to celebrate Bernice’s life on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Lewis officiating.
