Bertha Rene Weaver

Bertha Rene Weaver, 79, a native of Jackson, Alabama passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015 at her residence in Mount Vernon, Alabama. She was a member of Simple House of Praise Church and worked at The Iron Skillet for many years. Mommo enjoyed spending time with her family and having big family gatherings at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Johnny Van Weaver and grandson Jeffrey Kyle Byrd. She leaves to cherish her memory, eight children, Patricia (Samuel Joe) Byrd, Lela (Edward) Orso, Elmo Weaver, Aileen (Joe) Reed, Johnny Weaver, Jr., Patsy Weaver, Van Weaver and Tony (Tina) Orso; sister, Alberta Lofton; 22 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 10am until the 11am funeral service at Simple House of Praise Church with Rev. Greg Kirkwood officiating.
