Bessie “Eloise” Miller Turner – 04/23/1936 – 11/03/2023
Our dear, sweet, loving, and dainty mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend went peacefully to be with our Lord and Savior, and reunited with the love of her life, Edward Levi Turner, Sr.
Eloise was always kind and welcoming with a warm heart that would not be denied by anyone. She was the cream of the crop when it came to southern hospitality.
As a retired Federal Employee of USDA, she spent her later years giving care and comfort to numerous family members during their times of need. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting anything from baby booties to cuddly blankets/throws to generously share with anyone.
Eloise is additionally preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Daisy Mae; and brothers, Allen, Leo, and Thurman Miller.
She is survived by her two sons, Eddie and Glenn (Pary) Turner; daughter, Teresa “Terry” Bridges (Roger); grandchildren, Tray Nobles (Becca), Trinny Cannon (Patrick), Tripp Bridges (Renee), Brittany Boos (Chad), Trissy Allain (Brandon), Zachary Turner, Robbie (Heidi) and Sean Dowell, Chris Bolts (Lauren), Shannon Turner (Johnathan), and Katie Maras (Brandon); 30 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bennie (Linda) and Bobby (Carolyn) Miller; a host of nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until the 10:30 AM funeral service on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. Marvin Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
