Betty Jean Henderson

Betty Jean Henderson, born on October 3, 1949, peacefully departed this life on November 23, 2024. She was a woman of deep compassion and unwavering dedication, renowned for her constant support to those around her, always helping others with a warm smile and open heart.

Betty’s life was marked by her love of family and devotion to the simple pleasures of life. She cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren, deriving immense joy from their laughter and milestones, making this her proudest accomplishment. Alongside her family, she indulged in her hobbies which included sewing, gardening, and cooking, particularly crafting meals that brought everyone together around the table.

She is survived by her sons, Ronald Jordan (Sherry), Donald Jordan (Lisa), Joseph Jordan (Martha), as well as her adoring grandchildren, Danielle Jordan (Jennifer), Chase Jordan (Dannan), Blake Jordan (Ashley), Tayler Jordan, Scotty Jordan (Ali), Marshall Jordan, Kirstie Adkins, Grant Adkins, Crystal Cotton, and Brandon Cotton. Her legacy continues through her ten great-grandchildren who will cherish the memories of their beloved grandmother. Betty also leaves behind her brother, Perry Wilkerson (Kathy), her sisters, Janet Tipp and Joyce Gross (Tom), and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who loved her dearly.

Betty was preceded in death by her husbands, Raymond "Rip" Jordan and Herman Rayford Henderson. She was also preceded by her parents, William and Helen Wilkerson, and her sister, Amy Odom.

A visitation will be held at Freeman Funeral Home on November 29, 2024, from 1:00 PM until the 2:00 PM funeral service with Bro. Tommy Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Lambert Grove Cemetery. The family warmly welcomes friends and loved ones to join them in commemorating the beautiful life of Betty Jean Henderson.
