Betty Jean Ramey

Betty Jean Ramey, a resident of Citronelle, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022. She was 86 years old. Betty taught first grade at Rosa Lott Elementary School for many years. She was a member of the Women's Club and the Garden Club in Citronelle and enjoyed reading and golfing in her spare time. Betty was also a devoted member of Memorial Baptist Church.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ramey; son, James Ramey; parents, Wesley and Rachel Baxter; and 6 siblings.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, William Ramey, Jr., Ann Beech, and Richard Ramey; nine grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; best friend, Janell Brannan; other relatives; and friends.

The family will receive friends from 9am until the 10am funeral service Monday, December 26, 2022, at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Dino Danzey officiating.
