Betty Joe Wheeler

Betty Joe Wheeler, a resident of Citronelle, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 26, 2016. She was 84 years old. Betty was born on April 16, 1932 to Amos and Mattie Eubanks in Aiken, South Carolina. Betty was a member of Lighthouse of Prayer Holiness Church in Gulfcrest, Alabama, where she loved going to church every week. She had a big, loving heart and cared about everybody. Betty loved to shop and enjoyed spending time with her family. Betty was loved by many and will be truly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Williams. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Vickey Williams, Donna (Dossie) Sullivan, Angie (Bobby) Turner, Georgia (Doyle) Jordan, and Jeff (Sherrie) Williams; nineteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; best friend, Margie Sullivan; and other relatives and friends. The family would like to especially thank Aseracare Hospice for all of their love and devotion to Betty and her family. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Evans officiating.
