Betty left this life on April 10, 2014 to join her husband Gerard Barrett and son Donald Joe Smith. Betty was a hairdresser and business owner. She and Jerry traveled and lived in several states and Germany during his Army career. They retired and settled in Citronelle. Betty is survived by her daughters, Anita K. Foster, Donna Marie (Robby) Phillips, Jennifer Diane (Jason) Wesley; brother Arnold (Glenda) Averett; sister Charlotte Ann (Gary) Martin; grandsons, Michael Howell, Reily Rankin; great grandchildren, Jessica Wesley, Jancie Wesley, Julieanna Wesley, Kayla Phillips, Kara Phillips; other family and friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 2pm until the 3pm funeral service at Freeman Funeral Home with burial in Saint Thomas Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Stan Clayton and Rev.
