Brenda Louise Gibson

Mrs. Brenda Louise Gibson, 48, of Mt. Vernon, AL. died March 24, 2013 at a local hospital. She was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing. She was preceded in death by her father, Ken Gregory. Left to cherish her memory, husband, Scott R. ''Gummy'' Gibson; mother, Marion Hunt Gregory; sister, Lizabeth Mercer; two nieces, Miranda and Leanne; two nephews, Bradley Gibson and Anthony Weaver; two great nieces, Kiara and Annie; two brother in laws, Shannon (Anita) Gibson and Shane (Michelle) Gibson; special ''lil'' sister, Robin JoMil Washburn; special aunt, Robin Duff; and other relatives and friends. The Wake will be from 6-9 pm Friday, March 29, 2013 at Freeman Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be at 10 am Saturday, March 30, 2013 from the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Dwight Weaver officiating. Interment will be in Sims Chapel Methodist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Diabetes Association in honor of Brenda.
