Caleb Lemuel "Popeye" Evans, 18, a resident of Chunchula, Alabama passed away Friday, June 12, 2015 in Saraland, Alabama. Caleb graduated from Citronelle in the Class of 2014. Popeye played for the Citronelle Wildcat baseball team, loved baseball, hunting, fishing and softball. He worked as a machine operator at Nibrock, Inc. in Chunchula, Alabama. Caleb was baptized and affiliated with Living Word Church in Citronelle. Popeye was a loving caring person with many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George W. Powell, L.T. and Winnie Evans. Left to cherish his memory his parents, Darla and James Evans; grandmother, Carolyn Powell; brothers, Ryan Evans, Justin Evans, and his twin brother, Jacob Evans; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; special friends, Rudy Hernandez and Jason Williams, and the entire Citronelle Baseball Family. A wake will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2015 from 6pm-9pm at Living Word Church. Funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday at Living Word Church with Rev. Marc Hobbs officiating.
