Rev. Calvin C. Henderson, 82, a native and longtime resident of Citronelle, Alabama passed away May 22, 2014 at a local hospital. He was pastor of Faith Tabernacle Church for over 55 years and worked at International Paper for over 33 years. After his retirement, he farmed and raised cattle among other animals. He selflessly gave his time to the Senior Citizens of Citronelle and provided transportation and meals to those he served. He enjoyed spending time with family, was a caregiver and provider to those he loved. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Wesley and Rosie (Webb) Henderson; three brothers, Charles Henderson, James Henderson and Cleo Henderson. Left to cherish his memory is loving wife of 57 years, Doris “Tay” Henderson; son, Tommy (Brenda) Henderson; daughter, Pam (Cleveland) Flippo; three brothers, Herman (Betty) Henderson, Donald “Duck” (Louise) Henderson and Allen (Glenda) Parnell; three grandchildren, Curt, Cavin and Christopher; three great grandchildren, Natalie, Cade and Caylee; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 11 am until the 1 pm funeral service on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Cedar Creek Church of the Brethren with Rev. Clay Lewis and Curt Henderson officiating.
