Carl Vernon Tanner, Jr.

Carl Vernon Tanner, Jr., 80, a native and resident of Citronelle, Alabama passed away Friday, June 12, 2015 at his residence. He was of the Methodist faith, a pharmacist, and owner and operator of Tanner’s Drug Store for over 58 years. He loved his customers, helping those in need and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory is wife of 58 years, Lois Lott Tanner; daughter, Renee (Sam) Baxter; son, Guy Vernon (Tammy) Tanner; three grandsons, Carl Jarrod Baxter, Brandon Craig Tanner and Ryne Wilson Baxter; two granddaughters, Tara Samantha Baxter and Lacon Danielle Tanner; other relatives and friends. The wake will be from 6-9 pm Sunday June 14, 2015 at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 11am Monday, June 15, 2015 from the chapel of Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery.
