Carsyn Mark Eugene Bentley, age 5, went to be with the angels on Wednesday, April 8, 2020. Carsyn was a fighter from day one. He was known by his name by all the nurses at USA Women and Children’s Hospital and was loved by everyone who came in contact with him, Carsyn even made the front page of the paper at the NICU reunion. In spite of his disabilities, Carsyn was full of life and his sweet spirit and happiness would make anyone smile. He was his Nana’s best friend. He will be dearly missed by his family. Carsyn was preceded in death by his grandmother, Pinkey Byers; grandfather, Colan Bentley; and Granny, Pauline Eason. Those left to cherish his memory are his parents. Colan and Cassandra Bentley; sister, Cacelyn, whom Carsyn was such an inspiration to; Nana, Karen Fisher; grandfather, Melvin Turberville; grandparents, Mark and Kim Bentley; grandmother, Rose Bentley; Nannie, Debra Woodham; great grandmother, Judy Bentley; aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. A special thank you to Carsyn's nurse, Audrea Brookins, for all the compassion and care that she gave to him throughout his life. The family would also request that everyone please wear yellow, Carsyn’s favorite color. The visitation will be from 11am until 1pm on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home. Due to the current health situation and orders from Department of Public Health, only 7 people may enter the facility for visitation at a time and compliance with social distancing will be observed. A private graveside service and interment with his immediate family will be held at Pine Crest Cemetery – Mobile, Alabama. Pallbearers will be J.J.
