Charlene Staehle Donald, a beloved mother, grandmother, and wife, passed away on November 20, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family during her final moments. Charlene's life was defined by her dedication and love for her family. Throughout her life, she spread warmth and kindness to everyone she encountered. Being a conduit for her family was the most important thing to her. Later in life, she worked as a caretaker at the local nursing home.
Charlene had many passions and interests that brought her joy. She adored vacationing in the mountains, with Cades Cove being one of her favorite destinations. Being outdoors allowed Charlene to appreciate the beauty of nature and find solace in its serenity. She also treasured hunting, cooking, and spending quality time with her loved ones during the holidays; creating memorable moments filled with laughter and good food.
Charlene's proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her children and grandchildren. They were the center of her world and being with them brought her immense joy.
Charlene will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, James Donald; children, Elizabeth Puckett (Jimmy), Jacob Donald, Johnny Donald, Toni Donald; grandchildren, Zacky, Tris, Izzy, Bridgette, Emily, Jake, and Brodie; siblings Juanita Isler, Cathy Donovan, and Paul Staehle; along with numerous other relatives and friends who were blessed to have known such an incredible soul.
Services honoring Charlene's life will be held at Restoration Church. The visitation will take place on Monday, November 27, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service with Rev. John Blackwell and Rev. Tim Stiner officiating. Burial to follow in Shiloh Cemetery.
In these moments of grief and loss, let us all remember Charlene as the loving and compassionate person she was. She touched the lives of many with her kindness and generosity. Although her presence may no longer be physically with us, her spirit and love will forever resonate in our hearts.
May Charlene Staehle Donald rest in eternal peace knowing that she made a profound impact on the lives of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
