Charles D. Holland, 81, a native of Washington County, Alabama and resident of Wilmer, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a mechanic at Dairy Fresh for 17 years, as well as Faith Academy for over 12 years. He worked independently for years and made many friends throughout his career. He was affiliated with Life Church in Mobile, Alabama. Charles enjoyed fishing, but his favorite hobby was his work. He was known for his integrity and compassion for others. Left to cherish his memory is his wife for over 60 years, Gail R. Holland; children, Gene (Tammy) Holland, Charles (Susan) Holland, Ken (Robbie) Holland, Kevin (Julie) Holland, Stacey Holland and Traci (Rusty) Stewart; fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; sister, Pauline Odom; sister-in-law, Sharon Daughdrill; other relatives and friends. The wake will be from 6-9 pm Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 11 am Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Freeman Funeral Homewith Rev. Dick Braswell, Rev.
