Charles J. Elmore

Mr. Charles J. Elmore, age 77, a native and resident of Mount Vernon, AL died Thursday, October 22, 2009, at Citronelle Convalescent Center in Citronelle, AL. He is preceded in death by his brother, J.F. Elmore. He is survived by his Five Daughters, Charlotte Lee (O.E.) Smyly of Mount Vernon, AL, Cheryl (Joe) Chestang of Bucks, AL, Cathy Jo (Daniel) Mazingo of Mount Vernon, AL, Elaine (Wayne) Miller of Creola, AL, Mary Jane (Gerald) Sellers of Gilbertown, AL; Two Sons, Charles Edward (JoAnn) Elmore of Quitman, MS, and James Charles (Angela) Elmore of Bucks, AL; One Sister, Louise Kowen of Natchez, MS; Two Brothers, Pearce (Dot) Elmore and Hayward (Virginia) Elmore, both of Gilbertown, AL; Eleven Grandchildren, Lori Ann, Chris, Kelly, Little Joe, C.R., Amandajo, Ariel Joy, Wayne, Shannon, Little James and April; Nine Great Grandchildren, Gabby, Tylar, Stephen, Danielle, Kalleijh, Lana, Emily, Carmen and Kendal; And Other Relatives and Friends. A wake will be held from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday, October 23, 2009 at Lockler Memorial Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, AL. The Funeral Service will be at Lockler Memorial Baptist Church at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 24, 2009 with Rev. Roger Perkins officiating. Interment will be at Creola Cemetery in Creola, AL.
