Clyde Gavin Reid (Hawk Eye), age 83, born July 1, 1937, a resident of Charity Chapel, Alabama, passed away peacefully in his home Friday, March 19, 2021. He served in the National Guard, worked in the oil field, but found his love, logging. He was most known for his love of hunting and was named one of the hardest working men ever known. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Ethel Reid and W.H. Reid; and son, Kenneth L. Reid (Heavy Duty). He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Nolia Reid; sons, Mike Reid (Judy), Randy Reid (Cynthia), Earl Reid (Cathy), and Gavin Reid; grandchildren, James Reid (Jamie), Jancey Richardson (Shaun), Phillip Reid, Megann Carlisle (Russell), Christopher Reid, and Dustin Reid; great grandchildren, Emily Reid, James Michael Reid (Peanut), Caden Richardson, Ellah Reid, and Ryder Richardson; one great grandson on the way, Baby Carlisle; sister, Donna Wainwright; and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 1pm until 3pm Sunday, March 21, 2021, at Charity Chapel Jesus Name Church with Rev. Johnny Helveston and Rev. James Cole officiating.
