Clyde Etheredge, 68, a longtime resident of Mt. Vernon, Alabama and resident of Mobile, Alabama passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Springhill Medical Center. Clyde worked as a station agent for Frisco/AT & N Railroad for over 18 years. He enjoyed fishing and wood working, but most of all, he was an avid Alabama Football fan. Clyde always joked around and never met a stranger. Clyde was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed, especially by his wife because they never were apart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Etheredge and Alva Etheredge Hicks and his son, Randall Lee Etheredge. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Cynthia Etheredge; two grandsons, Randall and Tyler; two sisters, Pat Etheredge and Carolyn Canterbury (James); nephew, Darin Canterbury (Debra); niece, Pam Souder (Kurt); great nieces, Abby and Kennedy; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 1pm until the 2pm funeral service on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Lockler Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Perkins officiating. Burial will follow in Mt.
