George Curtis “Tweet” Johnson, a resident of Charity Chapel, Alabama, passed away at his home Monday, March 11, 2019. He was 68 years old. Tweet was the former mayor of Charity Chapel. He loved to go hunting and loved to watch Alabama football. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Tweet was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ella Johnson; brothers, Bo Johnson and Darriell Johnson; and sister, Lucille Williams. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 45 years, Judy Johnson; children, Danny Ray Johnson (Tricia Corley), Donnie Johnson; grandchildren, Wesley, Wyatt, Camdan, Kadan, Bella, Donnie Jr, Elly, and Will; siblings, Janice Henderson, Glenda Parnell (Allen), and Linda Patrick (Jimmy); sister in law, Jean Johnson; special nephew, Sammy White (Lurry); and other relatives and friends. A wake will be held for Tweet from 6pm until 9pm Thursday, March 14, 2019, at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11am Friday, March 15, 2019, at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev.
