Daisy Mae Mooney, a native of Waynesboro, Mississippi, and a resident of McIntosh, Alabama, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 16, 2016. Daisy was 88 years old. She was born September 27, 1927, to Jay and Della Quinn in Waynesboro, Mississippi. Daisy loved spending time with her family and enjoyed fishing. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Leakesville, Mississippi. Daisy was loved by many and will be truly and greatly missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Buford Mooney. Those left to cherish her memory include her son, David Mooney (Claudette Graves); daughters, Lisa Marlowe (Paul) and Julia Therrell (Joe); six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; twelve great great grandchildren; sister, Francis Sessions (Don); and many other relatives and friends. A graveside service will be held for Daisy at 2pm, Monday, September 19, 2016, at Bullock Cemetery in Sanford, Mississippi, with Rev. Jerry Waite officiating.
