Dana Cheryl Rivers

Dana Cheryl Rivers, a resident of McIntosh, Alabama, passed away Friday, June 11, 2021, at Providence Hospital. She was 45 years old. Dana loved to listen to gospel music and enjoyed fishing in her spare time. Most of all, Dana loved being a mother and taking care of her family, whom she loved with all her heart. Dana was preceded in death by her son, Carlton Eugene Reed, Jr. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Carlton “Terbaby” Reed; son, Austin Rivers (Paige); daughters, Carla Nicole Reed and Carmyn Brielle Reed; grandchildren, Bryson and McKenly; parents, Coma Rivers (Bunnie) and Mary Ann McNaughton (John); sisters, Sonya Ann Roberson (Paul), Stacy Taylor (Leamon), and Amanda Joy Rivers; special nephew, Paul Ray Roberson, Jr. “Woot”; a host of other nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. A wake will be held for Dana from 6pm until 9pm Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 2pm Monday, June 14, 2021, at McKenley Holiness Church with Rev. Jackie Snow, Rev. Jerry Waite, and Rev. Wilbert Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Reed’s Chapel Cemetery. Online condolences may be given at www.freemancitronelle.com.
