Darlene Elizabeth Majors, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on December 13, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family at Providence Hospital. She was born on January 3, 1959, and her passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Darlene lived her life to the fullest with a joyful and outgoing personality that made an impact on everyone she met. She had a gift for making people laugh with her outspoken and funny nature. Her caring and loving spirit touched the lives of countless individuals, leaving behind cherished memories.
Family and friends are invited to join together to celebrate Darlene's remarkable life. Visitation will be held on December 17, 2023, from 12:00 PM until the 2:00 PM funeral service at Freeman Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Perkins officiating. Burial will follow in Byrd Cemetery.
Darlene had many hobbies and interests that brought her joy throughout her life. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors appreciating nature's beauty. She also found pleasure in shopping adventures and exploring new roads. Additionally, she had a talent for sewing which allowed her to create beautiful crafts.
One of Darlene's proudest accomplishments was the love she shared with her children and grandchildren. Her devotion to her family was unparalleled and she treasured every moment spent with them. She is survived by her children, Christy Perkins (David), Ruth Richardson (Robert), and John Majors (Brittany); grandchildren, Austin, Noah, Jayla, Mia, and Malia; siblings, Eloise Ahart, Raymond Mayo (Vickie), and Frank Mayo (Kim); nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Majors; daughter, Joni Majors; mother, Ruth Mayo; and siblings.
Darlene will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of everyone she touched. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, laughter, and kindness.
