Darlene Rene Reed, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on February 10, 2024, at Providence Hospital. She was born on July 12, 1961. Darlene will forever be remembered for her warm and tender spirit. She lived a life filled with love and compassion for everyone around her. Family was the cornerstone of Darlene's existence, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She leaves behind a legacy of beautiful memories that will forever be treasured by her nearest and dearest.
Darlene had a nurturing soul and found solace in spending time with her family. Nothing brought her more joy than being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Her loving presence lightened up any room she entered, and she had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel cherished and valued. Darlene's love knew no bounds.
In addition to her role as a dedicated wife and mother, Darlene possessed a fun-loving personality and enjoyed indulging in simple pleasures. Drinking coffee held a special place in her heart, as it would often be the starting point for heartwarming conversations with friends and family. She also found delight in playing bubble games on her phone.
Darlene leaves behind a loving husband, David Chris Reed; children, Jeffrey Reed (Brittney), Daniel Reed, Angel Reed-Moore (Gary), Charlene Waite, and David Reed (Erika). Her dedication to family extended further through her beloved grandchildren, Makayla, Kyle, Lucas, Zachary, Alexis, Madison, and Lizzie.
She was also survived by her sister-in-laws, Cathy Reed (Rusty), Yvonne Knowles, Sherri Reed, Josephine Reed, and Sharon Reed-Michael; her brother-in-law John Huggins; numerous nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and a vast circle of friends.
Darlene is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Irene Turner; and brothers, Ricky Turner, Windell Turner, Danny Turner, and Andy Turner.
The family will receive friends on February 15, 2024 from 1:30 PM until the to 2:00 PM funeral at Magnolia Holiness Church with Sister Cathy Reed and Dave Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
Darlene Rene Reed will be remembered as a beacon of love and warmth. Her selfless nature and unwavering love for her family will forever be etched in our hearts. As we mourn the loss of such a remarkable woman, we take solace in knowing that she is now resting peacefully. May her soul find eternal serenity as she reunites with those who went before her.
