David Augustus Lofton

David Augustus Lofton, age 67, a native of Citronelle and resident of Semmes, AL. died Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at his residence. He was United States Navy Vietnam veteran and worked as an ironworker. He is survived by his wife, Mary Weaver of Semmes, AL.; four sons, Gregory Lofton, Barry Lofton, Larry Lofton and Alfred "Lil Buck" Weaver, all of Mount Vernon, AL.; two daughters, Pamela Byrd of Fairford, AL. and Margie Dearth of Mount Vernon, AL.; two brothers, Ray E. Lofton and Travis Edward Lofton, both of Citronelle, AL.; five sisters, Gail Helveston of Citronelle, AL., Barbara Ross of McIntosh, AL., Lois Rivers of Citronelle, AL., Linya Roberts of McIntosh, AL. and Lisa Page of Norfolk, VA.; sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10 am until the 11 am Funeral Service Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Chestang officiating. Interment will be in Charity Chapel Cemetery.
