David Eugene Swann

July 12, 1956 — February 23, 2016

David Eugene Swann, 59, a resident of Satsuma, Alabama passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016 as a victim of the tornado that ravaged the Sugar Hill RV Park in Convent, Louisiana. He worked as a welding engineer and member of Plumbers & Steamfitters Local #10. David loved to play the guitar, fishing, and was an excellent mechanic. He was a jack of all trades, able to fix most anything. He was a lover of life and enjoyed helping others. David was a good man and will be missed by all, especially his family whom he adored. One of his proudest moments was being able to attend the Auburn football games and supporting his son, Jeromy, while he performed for the Auburn University Marching Band. Left to cherish his memory is wife, Mary Swann; son, Jeromy Swann; daughter, Amanda Swann; step-son, Tucker Fox; siblings, Angela Garrick, Mary Bush, Paul Swann (Inna) and Renee Nelson (Allen); sisters-in-law, Patty Magdaleno and Kelly Murphy; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 12pm funeral service on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Central Church of Christ in Saraland, Alabama with Rev. Steve Norman and Rev.
