David Lamar Knapp, Sr.

David Lamar Knapp, Sr., 65, of McIntosh, Alabama passed away April 5, 2015. He was born March 19, 1950 in Mobile, AL. When not spending time with family or fishing, Mr. Knapp could be found playing his guitar and singing. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Mr. Knapp is preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Dot Knapp; father Charlie Edward Knapp; and a grandson Tyler Lamar Knapp. He leaves to cherish his memories his daughters, Melinda (Bo) Knapp Young and Wendy (Shane) Howle; sons David Lamar (Tara) Knapp, Jr., and Nathan (Nichole) Knapp; mother, Bessie Lee Williamson; brother, William (Lynn) Knapp; sisters, Debra, Ruth and Emily; stepbrother, Tony; 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous other friends and relatives. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 11:00 AM at Liberty Baptist Church on Saturday, April 11, 2015 with Rev. Kesler Weaver, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Covenant Hospice for their services during this difficult time.
