David Leon Weaver, Sr.

David Leon Weaver, Sr. was a resident of Fairford, Alabama, known and loved by many, passed away Monday, July 13, 2020. He was 63 years old. He loved being the funniest man in the room; bringing laughter to everyone he met. You would never see him without a plaid shirt and a black cowboy hat. In his early years he was a preacher that helped lead many to the Lord. In his later years he spent his retirement spending time with loved ones and enjoying life. David was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Kay Weaver. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, David Leon Weaver, Jr., Miriam Renee Taylor, Shyra LaNore Carroll, and Brandon Percy Weaver; nine grandchildren; siblings, Betty Byrd, Jewellene Glenn, James Weaver, and Ralph Sullivan; longtime friend, Willie Wilson Taylor, Jr.; and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 6pm until the 7:30pm funeral service Thursday night, July 16, 2020, at Freeman Funeral Home. Following his service, David will be cremated, per his wishes.
