Deborah Ruth Barnett Wilson passed away peacefully on May 10th, 2023, in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on March 31st, 1945, and lived a life full of adventure and love until her passing at the age of 78.
Deborah was known for being always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it; she was sweet, kind and loving to all who knew her. Friends and family describe her as an angel on earth who brought joy into their lives. Her love for her family was immeasurable and she treasured every moment spent with them. She had a special bond with her grandkids, always attending their sports games and activities.
Deborah also had a passion for traveling that led her to explore different parts of the world throughout her lifetime. Besides spending time exploring new places, she enjoyed spending quality time with friends and neighbors who held a special place in her heart.
Deborah is survived by her children Andy Wilson (Shannon), Brad Wilson (Bea), and Libby Davis; grandchildren Tyler (Danielle), Drew, Caleb, and Jax; brothers Michael Barnett (Vanessa) and Donald Barnett (Minnie); beloved niece Ann Barnett; other relatives, special neighbors and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Marshall Wilson; brothers Billy Barnett, Robert Barnett, Aubrey Barnett, and Freddy Barnett; sister Helen "Aunt Pudd" Floyd; mother Flora Barnett; and father Arnette Barnett.
Family members and friends will gather to remember Deborah's life on Saturday May 13th at Mount Vernon United Methodist Church. There will be a visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed immediately by the funeral service from 11:00 AM to Noon. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Marshall Wilson at Calvert Methodist Cemetery.
The world has lost an amazing soul, and our hearts ache for the loss of such a wonderful woman. She will be forever remembered in our hearts and souls. Rest in peace Deborah Barnett Wilson.
