Delores Irene Dunn, a native and resident of Citronelle, Alabama, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017. She was 76 years old. Delores was born on January 30, 1941 to Woodie and Irene Turner of Citronelle, Alabama. She grew up to be a faithful and longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church where she played the piano and organ every week. She was also a teacher’s aide for middle school and high school in Mobile County. Delores was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Delores is preceded in death by her husband, Tony Cedric Dunn; her parents, Woodie and Irene Turner; her step father, Will Turner; and her brother, Warren Turner. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Rhonda Wehner and Lori Welsh; five grandchildren, Caitlin, Alex, Christian, Will, and Turner; three great grandchildren, Jacob, Tyler, and Avery; brothers, Charles Turner and Ronnie Turner; sister, Elaine Allen; and other relatives and friends. A wake will be held for Delores from 6pm until 9pm Thursday, February 23, 2017, at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11am Friday, February 24, 2017, at Bethel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund, 16641 Prine Road, Citronelle, Alabama 36522.
