Dianne Simison Murphy, a resident of Mount Vernon, Alabama, was called home Friday, December 09, 2022. She was 80 years old. Dianne retired as the Director of Nursing at Searcy Hospital and was a faithful and devoted member of Mount Vernon United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending all her spare time with her family who will greatly miss her.
Dianne was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Murphy; her parents, Duke and Doris Simison; sisters, Alice Rutland and Gayle Long; and her granddaughter, Samekia Murphy.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Anita McLain (Parrish), Marty Carpenter (Anthony), and Kelly Brown; grandchildren, Leslie Helveston (Chris), Caleb Murphy, Johnny Carpenter (Meagi), Josh Carpenter (Amber), Seth Carpenter (Cynthia), P.J. McLain, Nicholas Murphy (Janay), Meagan Kyle, Alayna Kyle, and Richie McLain (Meg); greatgrandchildren, Sarah, Brayden, Evania, Jaycee, Jayden, Hannah Dianne, Jac, Mayleigh Grace, C.J., Brisa, Hayes, Jada, Hannah, Aydin, Jayce, Christian, and Kinsley; sisters, Peggy Dunagan, Linda Robbins, Joyce Walker (Donnie), Susie Harrell (Gene); three close friends, Sharron Perry, Arnette Howard, and Nora Taylor; other relatives; and friends.
The family will receive friends from 11am until the 12pm funeral service Monday, December 12, 2022, at Mount Vernon Methodist Church with Rev. Matthew Cook and Rev. Clyde Pressley officiating.
