Dolly Arvilla Reed

Dolly Arvilla “Sister Bobbie” Reed, a native of Philadelphia, Mississippi, and a resident of McIntosh, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home on January 15, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was 74 years old. Sister Bobbie was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Sister Bobbie was a Godly woman who delighted in reading her bible and listening to Jimmy Swaggart. She was an avid member of New Testament Tabernacle Church. When she wasn’t in church, she enjoyed gardening in her yard. Her children would always bring her roses for her flower bed. Quilt making was another pass time that Sister Bobbie cherished. Her favorite gifts were night gowns and house slippers. Sister Bobbie was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard, Sr. and Bessie Mae Graham; her husband, Roy Donny Reed; and her sisters, Annie Mae Dallas, Glenda Fay Graham, and Betty Lou Reed. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Ronda Sims and Terri Waldrup (Joseph); four grandchildren, Rittie A. Lewis (Jarvis Poole, Sr.), Joseph E. Waldrup (Candace), Torri S. Waldrup, and Jericka L. Wells (Jesse L., Sr.); eight great grandchildren, Judith Reed, Bailey Waldrup, Gwen Wells, Jarvis Poole, Jr., Hannah Waldrup, Jesse L. Wells, Jr., Javontae Poole, Elijah E. Waldrup; brother, Howard L. Graham, Jr. (Peggy); a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 12pm funeral service Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at Freeman Funeral Home with Bro. Wilbert Reed officiating.
