Donald Joe "D.J." Smith, 53, of Citronelle died Wednesday, January 19, 2011. He was a master plumber and served in the United States Marine Corps. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Odom Smith; mother, Betty L. Averett Barrett; sister, Anita Kay Foster; uncle, Arnold Averett; three daughters, Donna Marie (Robbie) Phillips, Jennifer Diane (Jason) Wesley and Michelle (Jeff) Lewis; son, Scott (Shana) Foster; six granddaughters, Jessica, Jancie, Kayla, Kara, Kayla and Hannah; one grandson, Garrett; and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 PM until the 7 PM Memorial Service on Monday, January 24, 2011 at Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle with Rev. Clay Lewis officiating.
