Donna Byrd Drew, a long-time resident of Georgetown, has passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love and fond memories. She was born on May 22, 1950, and peacefully departed on March 14, 2024.
Throughout her life, Donna was described as determined, strong-willed, and very secure in her faith—an individual who tackled challenges with grace and perseverance. Her vibrant personality shone through in everything she did, from caring for her family to excelling in her professional endeavors as a salon owner for many years.
One of Donna's greatest joys was spending quality time with her loved ones by the pool. Whether it was with her children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren, she cherished these moments dearly. In addition to this cherished pastime, Donna also found solace in fishing, shopping, cooking delicious meals, and simply being surrounded by her family.
In this difficult time of loss, Donna is survived by her beloved husband, John Dearmon; her adoring children, Pamela Byrd Crum and Penny Byrd Garrick (Scott); grandchildren, Allan Crum (Jessi), Hannah Granger (James), William Crum (Brittany), Nicholas Crum (Brooke), Ka'tlynn Ferrouillat (Zack), and Samuel Ferrouillat (Sarah); as well as great-grandchildren, Jazlea, Silea, Faithlynn, Cullen, Kinsleigh, Addyson, Lukas, and Zack Jr. Her strength and love will forever be carried on by them.
In the hearts of those who knew her best remain memories of Donna's warm presence and unwavering dedication to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of crossing paths with such a remarkable soul.
Among the surviving family members are Donna's deceased spouse, Sheron V. Byrd; her parents, James and Claira Dee Stewart; siblings, Dianne Walker and James Stewart Jr.; siblings, Sharon Davis and Cherry Vickers; along with many other relatives and friends who will continue to cherish her memory.
Donna Byrd Drew may have bid farewell to this world, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who were touched by her kindness and love. May she rest in eternal peace.
