Donna Merreal Davis

Donna M. Davis, a resident of Mount Vernon, Alabama, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019. She was 55 years old. Donna was born August 11, 1963. She served in the United States National Guard. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Donna was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Davis; and her brother, Ronnie Davis. Those left to cherish her memory include her fiancé, John Sanders; children, Leslie Goodman (Terry) and Charles Taylor, Jr.; grandchildren, Taylor, Katlyn, Julian, Dynasty, Christyn, Charlie, T.J., Brooke, Jaizy, and O.J.; mother, Ada Byrd (George); sister, Grace Sullivan (James); brothers, Kip Davis and Bobby Davis (Tina); and other relatives and friends. A wake will be held for Donna from 6pm until 9pm Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at Freeman Funeral Home. The Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10am Thursday, January 31, 2019, at Saint Theresa Catholic Church with Rev. John Coghlan, celebrant. Burial will follow at Byrd Cemetery.
