Doreen "Dody" Dueitt

August 29, 1925 — September 5, 2015

Doreen “Dody” Dueitt, 90, a native of Mt. Vernon, Alabama, resided in Citronelle, Alabama most of her life and currently resided at Brookdale Assisted Living Facility in Hattiesburg, Mississippi passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and worked as a secretary at Brookley AFB, later in oil field production with the Citronelle Unit. Dody was a longtime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post #164 and a charter member of the Citronelle Ladies Golf Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm D. “Chubby” Dueitt. Left to cherish her memory is her son, George (Sandra) Dueitt and two daughters, Cherry (Rafael) Rubio and Jackie (Billy) Selman; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 2pm until the 3pm funeral service on Monday, September 7, 2015 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Denny McDavid officiating.
