Douglas Keith Weaver, Sr. "Butch" a lifetime resident of Mount Vernon, Alabama passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. Butch worked as a truck driver and was known in the community as the "Keep Looking Up" man. He will be greatly missed by the community and those who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hattie and Richard Weaver, Jr., brothers, Richard Weaver, Max Weaver, and Kenneth Weaver, Sr., special nephew Kenneth Weaver, Jr., and granddaughter, Kierra. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Kennon Weaver, (Lori), David McNeil (Chelly), Malorie Williams (Blake), Douglas Weaver, Jr. (Madison); grandchildren, Gage, Grier, Garrett, Liberty, Kage, and Karalynn; siblings, Viola Snow, Sebron Weaver, Paulette Reed, Larry Weaver, Shirley Lofton, Barry Weaver, Mickey Weaver and Rachel Frazier; special nephew, Ronnie Snow; best friends, Ed Rivers and Gary Wilkerson and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Monday, December 20, 2021 from 9:30am until the 11am funeral service at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Rev. Barbara Brewi and Rev. George Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Byrd Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Alabama. Pallbearers will be Gary Wilkerson, Ricky Lofton, Steve Snow, Jr., Bradley Milligan, Adrian Keith Lofton and Richard "D-Man" Weaver.
