Ella V. Stevens, 81, a native of Clara, Mississippi, longtime resident of Satsuma, Alabama and recently of Saraland, Alabama passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. She was a homemaker and member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Stevens was a loving and generous lady, making sure that others were taken care of, always before herself. She was greatly admired for her cooking and baking. She was preceded in death by her parents Bennie and Ella Mae Mills; husband, Homer Ford Stevens; son, Homer Dale Stevens. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Timothy P. Stevens (Mary); daughter, Shelia V. Skipper (Malcolm); grandchildren, Heather Davis, Ashley Boykin (Thomas), Trey Skipper and Phillip Dreaper; great grandchildren, Makenley, Ethan, Elijah, Bailey and Dylan; siblings, Arthur Mills (Evelyn), J.C. Mills (Bonnie), Paul Mills (Althea), and Judy Brown; her beloved dog, Daisy; close friends, Debra Everett (Virgil) and Leisah Molyneau; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The wake will be from 5-9 pm Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, Mississippi. The Funeral Service will be 11 am Monday, June 20, 2016 from the chapel of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro with Rev. Steven Ray Perry officiating. Burial will follow in White House Cemetery.
