Emily Anita McDonald Turner, 64, a native of Odessa, Texas and resident of Citronelle, Alabama passed away Friday, July 15, 2016 at her home. “Nit” worked various jobs in construction, and was a caregiver of many other children. She was a loving wife, mother, aunt and “Nana”. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her. “Nit” loved spending time outdoors, especially at the river. She was preceded in death by her parents, William “Dub” and Katherine McDonald; brother, Donnie; niece, Amy McDonald. Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of 47 years, Clifford Ray Turner; children, Tracie Turner Laster, Cliff Turner (Joni) and Ashley Spotts (Labarron); eight grandchildren, Lauren Johnson, Meghan Turner, Jason Newburn, Austin Spotts, Katelyn Williams, Emily Turner, Alexander Spotts and Andyn Spotts; three great grandchildren, Isaiah, Amya and A’lyese; two brothers, Daniel Lamar McDonald, Sr. (Wanda) and Bradford Grover McDonald (Lillian); loving cousin raised like a sister, Diane Hazelwood Stallings (Roger); many other special relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am Funeral Service on Monday, July 18, 2016 at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Stan Clayton, Rev. Don Lee and Rev. Johnny Tucker officiating.
