Emmett Harold Lindsey, Sr., 81, passed away Monday, February 1, 2016 at Springhill Memorial Hospital in Mobile, Alabama. Emmett served his country as a Private First Class in the United States Army. His work career included working for Citronelle Police Department, Mobile County Sheriff’s Department and Ergon Trucking Company. He was preceded in death by Roseanell Lindsey, Eula Mae Lindsey, and Earl Dean Lindsey; and two children, Gloria Hovell and Eugene Lindsey. He is survived by his children, Frank Lindsey (Ellen), Emmett Lindsey, Jr. (Sharon), Linda Gilley, Margaret Shephard (Ricky), Andrew Rowell, Jr. (Debbie), Janet Wade (David), Ken Knight (Barbara), Brenda McCall, Kyle Denton, Martha Gradick (William), Barbara Nelson (Monroe) and Tommy Denton (Kim); siblings, Larry Lindsey, Gail Covington, Linda Norman, and Sue Sellers; grandchildren, great grandchildren, great - great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 10am until 12pm at Freeman Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 12pm in Freeman Chapel with Rev. Willie Long, Jr. officiating.
